Galderma
Client Bio: Since the creation of Galderma in 1981 as a joint venture between Nestlé and L’Oréal, all of their resources have been channelled in a single direction: to provide innovative, therapeutic, corrective and aesthetic solutions that meet the needs of dermatology patients and physicians.
Galderma’s growing portfolio includes treatment for major skin conditions – acne, pigmentary disorders, skin cancers, rosacea, psoriasis / SRD (Steroid-Responsive Dermatoses), onychomycosis, and skin senescence.
Need: Galderma Australia’s need to comply with international counterparts brought about the review of their infrastructure. Replacing existing server infrastructure would provide increased server performance, whilst reducing risk exposure from ageing hardware. Additionally, due to the growing concern over the lack of business continuity strategies in place, the organisation faced the risk of data loss, downtime and loss of staff productivity during planned and unplanned system interruptions. We recognised that this was a critical issue that needed to be addressed.
Solution: Our solution focused on server performance. As such, with future expansion in mind, we replaced two existing file and application servers with two HP DL380 series servers with considerable storage capacity. The HP server solution also offers a complete remote management system allowing a full “in-front-of-the-server” remote management experience.
Business continuity is addressed through the implementation of a disaster recovery plan that includes continual point-in-time images being taken, that can be independently restored should a failure occur. Nightly backups ensure complete data protection.
